Still got the moves, just not the knees? The Over 30’s competition is made for players who’ve racked up a few birthdays (and maybe a few hamstring twinges), but still love a good game of touch footy. Whether you’re a retired league or union player, a long-time touch veteran, or just keen for a social run without getting shown up by some 17-year-old with lightning feet, this comp is your vibe. The season runs from March to July, and it’s all about keeping active, staying social, and enjoying the game with a bit less sprinting and a bit more banter.

To keep our competition running smoothly, each team is required to nominate at least one (1) referee when signing up. This helps ensure we have enough referees for all games — but don’t worry if you’ve never refereed before, because no prior experience is needed to get started. We’ll provide free training and accreditation through a fun and informative referees' course early in the season!
Refereeing is a great way to be involved in the game from a new perspective, and you won’t be doing it alone — our experienced referees will be there to support and guide you through your first games. Plus, referees are paid for every match they officiate!
While duty referees won’t be scheduled every week, when allocated, it’s important they attend their assigned game. If something comes up and you can’t make it, simply find a replacement (usually from within your team) to ensure your team doesn’t lose two (2) competition points.
Need a referee shirt? No problem! You can borrow one from the Referees Room on game nights (or you can buy your own from https://store.ttra.au).
Note: To receive payments for your refereeing, be sure to register and provide your bank details via the button below.
Refereeing is a rewarding experience that helps keep the competition running, and you might even find you really enjoy it, so thanks for being a part of it!
