Our Organisation

Townsville Touch Football (TTF) is the registered trading name of the Townsville Castle Hill Touch Association Inc. (TCHTA Inc.), the recognised governing body for touch football in the Townsville region. We are a not-for-profit organisation, incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Qld), and proudly affiliated with Touch Football Australia.

All competitions are held at the home of touch football in Townsville — Queens Park, North Ward. Set at the base of the city’s landmark Castle Hill and just minutes from The Strand, it’s one of the most iconic and scenic sporting precincts in the region.

Townsville Touch Football is administered by a single full-time staff member, with all competitions, programs, and events otherwise run by a dedicated team of volunteers. The junior competition, in particular, is proudly delivered entirely by volunteers, including competition administration and club coordinators.

Referees for all TTF competitions are appointed and managed under a formal partnership agreement with the Townsville Touch Referees Association (TTRA), who are responsible for referee training, development, and appointments across all TTF competitions.

TTF is made up of seven fully affiliated clubs:

  • Brothers Touch Club Townsville Inc.
  • Crocs Touch Club Inc.
  • Frogs Touch Club Inc.
  • Jots-Tigers Touch Club Inc.
  • Redskins Touch Club Inc.
  • Rum Runners Touch Club Inc.
  • Sharks Sporting Club Townsville Inc.

We run competitions across both the Winter and Summer seasons, along with junior and inclusive programs.
