Each Townsville Saints side competing at the event was tasked with choosing a player from their ranks that best demonstrated the values and attributes that made them worthy of the title "Player's Player".
Considered were important attributes such as exceptional effort, willingness to listen and learn, standout performance, and of course outstanding behaviour towards other players and officials.
