"Dan's dedication to developing all players and referees is admirable."
"He consistently goes above and beyond, demonstrating his commitment and support to the growth of our club."
Chittleborough further praised Spargo's leadership within his beloved Brothers Touch Club, of which he's been apart of since childhood.

As a testament to his extensive involvement, Kerrod Hall, Townsville Touch Football's Technical Director, also highlighted Spargo’s contributions.
"Dan has been as heavily involved in the Townsville Saints representative program as pssible. He's played, coached, and refereed for us at state-level, and there aren't too many people that can put all three of those feathers in their cap."
Hall, who also serves as the President of Townsville Touch Referees Association, spoke highly of Spargo’s prowess as a referee, which has also reached new heights at this year's QLD State Cup where he earned his upgrade to Level 4 (State).
"His upgrade at the QLD State Cup this year is a testament to the skill and commitment Dan gives to maintaining high standards within our games."
Townsville Touch Football President Glen Wilson also reflected on Spargo’s significant impact.
"Dan truly embodies the spirit of volunteering and community engagement in sports. His natural leadership and genuine enthusiasm have noticeably elevated the quality and inclusivity of our games. He’s not just a participant; he is an advocate and leader who brings out the best in everyone around him."
The tireless effort of all four nominees for the award were recognised on the night, with Spargo being selected due to his unwavering dedication to all facets of the sport in Townsville.
