The popular tournament will return to Queens Park from 14 to 16 August 2026, with teams once again competing for prize money across the Competitive and Social divisions.
Following the successful return of the Cash Comp in 2025, the event's steering committee are expecting strong interest from teams across Townsville and beyond, with team numbers in each division capped.
The 2026 event will again be conducted across three days, with matches scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday evening, and Sunday. Final playing times will be confirmed following the close of the Team Entry Period and once team numbers have been finalised.
Townsville Touch Football has retained the core structure and eligibility requirements introduced in 2025, with only minor adjustments made to the Conditions of Entry.
One change for 2026 allows teams to register up to fifteen (15) players. While a maximum of fourteen (14) players may still participate in any individual match, the additional registration spot has been introduced to provide teams with greater flexibility should injuries occur throughout the event.
The Competitive Division will continue to operate under the Player Points System, with teams permitted a maximum of seven (7) Player Points. In addition, teams may include one bonus representative player from outside of Townsville.
The Social Division remains focused on social and recreational participation, with no Player Points permitted.
Team Entry Fees for the 2026 event are:
Competitive Division: $880.00 per team
Social Division: $660.00 per team
